Place a tape measure in the centre of your forehead and measure right around, including the widest parts of your head. This is typically above the ears, where you would typically expect your hat to sit.

When measuring, don’t pull the tape tightly enough to depress your skin – this will ensure your hat is not too tight either!

If you don’t have a soft tape measure, you can use a piece and string or wool and measure that on a ruler or builders tape measure.

The average head size for ladies is 57cm or 22.5 inches.
